Futuristic, or not

Just like that, you’re being paranoid.

We live in constant fear of feeling, terrified of losing and afraid of feeling anxious. “Feeling” is a very strong term – the society is so afraid of it and they started losing the real meaning of really to have a feeling. They said, “Don’t let your emotions cloud your judgment”. Having the option to feel, you began to have your feelings around and that gradually turns into a general public standard where we should clear our head and separate the truth and your own inclination aside.

Just like music, and art – the word “emotion” is pretty subjective. I remembered writing a post about emotion, its significance and envisioning the existence without feelings resemble losing your capacity to feel the enormity of life, we will be living like robots and machines carrying on with each exhausting and aimless life.

Being emotional is okay, and being able to feel is a blessing in disguise.

We all tend to get paranoid, when it comes to a certain level. Being paranoid is no longer just a clinical term, and with that saying mental health should be applied to every single human being. With everything that we are going through at the moment, virus outbreak, economy crisis, political issues, and the involvement of social media and etc., all these little things tend to get on everyone’s nerve. Living in a digital era, we listen a lot and we get affected with all the external factors.

Even when it comes to dating life, you get advice from all different sources however they originate from a similar spring – the internet. We let all the wrong information to get into our head and the supposed-to-be only just us become a competitive deliverable, a material where you ask for more information like checking a dictionary. You wanted to listen to your own thoughts, but you failed to do so because you’re excessively apprehensive and asking too many “what ifs” in your head.

You wish you could be more stern overtime. You wish you could just stand strong on your point of view. But you are afraid, you heard all the whispers around you and you get paranoid – if you’re doing okay, if you should proceed with what you think of, or if you should just pursue what others ask you to. You worried too much, even on things that you shouldn’t have bear, even on the future itself you are trying to mesh all at once.

A simple word, a simple visual, a simple song could nowadays bring out a huge impact on society. As much as our attempts to ignore the fact that we are living in the world full of ideation and creations, we’ve been eaten alive by it. Another way to look at it, this is how the marketing works, this is how we could live by bringing a new level of creativity to get them infused into our circulation system, to accept and to live with it.

FOMO has also become part of the human hereditary nowadays, doesn’t matter if you’re a gen X, Y or Z, baby bloomers got affected with that. From the days with just radio to black and white TV and now we have the luxury movie theatres that you could have your own private sofa, cashmere blankets, a gourmet restaurant or lay in one of the electronic reclining beds made with the same material that NASA used to develop astronauts’ equipment. Even our grandparents own at least one electronic device, and sometimes all they did was to just make calls.

So what are we still terrified of? Are we living our life these days? Is it true that we are content with all the cutting edge innovations or would we say we are requesting more? I am an unquestionably social and digital junkie, just as much as I still love spending money buying stationary and prefer making notes on the notebook. I wish the world could possibly be somewhat more amiable, somewhat more pleasant and perhaps everybody could simply still… learn to practice the goods from our own conduct and to not let everything affect our genuine thoughts.

Taking advice, being FOMO and getting the paranoia is just a reality check that we are living in the roaring 20s and there is so much more that we could learn.

Second thoughts, if there is one thing that you could remove, what would it be?

Me, on the other hand, I wish everything remains. Or maybe wishing people to have more courageous.
